Hear me roar - tiger

Description

Patience and serendipity are two wonderful tools that really help. Take this tiger for instance: to the casual observer, this seems nothing less of a pure show of strength. A stark, direct reminder of who's on top of the food chain in this jungle. Just look at that jaw; no way I'm messin' with this kitty cat. A casual observer might think that, and if he does, that's great, I've done my job.

Image has been cropped and colour corrected using GIMP. Sadly I needed to crop out a lot of the content around the tiger as well as the hind quarters to remove visible traces of the fence that was between us, it was just ugly (yes, this is a ZOO, not the jungle - I'm not that brave). I'm not too thrilled on the final composition, but it's... adequate.

Patience: It took me about 10 minutes to take this shot, when you've got family, relatives, and a small baby in tow, that's a long time! ;-)

Serendipity: What you see here, is a world class, no holds barred, ear to ear yawn. This kitty was bored and tired and couldn't care less about all of us. Thankfully, to the casual observer an animal yawn looks like a roar... look for that next time you're at the ZOO. ;-)

Hi, Thanks for the stock. I couldn't see your terms of use anywhere. I'm learning to draw and thought I'd let you know I have used some of your stock as visual study material.
